It takes $1,000 to get a Simon Youth Academy student to graduation. At a reception at Shula’s Steakhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. on Thursday, March 28, Chip Patterson, the CEO of AmeriPark, one of the country’s leading parking management companies, presented a check big enough to give 43 more students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma. AmeriPark raised the $43,207 donation through its 2012 Holiday Valet Program at Simon® malls and outlet centers nationwide.
SYF takes pride in providing education opportunities that ignite hope in students, giving them the confidence to believe if they start here they can go anywhere their dreams take them. It’s humbling to see a corporate partner give a gift which will make dramatic differences in the lives of at-risk youth.
Chip Patterson founded AmeriPark in 1986 with a single parking location in Atlanta, Georgia. Since then he has assembled a close-knit team of over 1,500 people who handle more than ten million cars per year. AmeriPark’s repeat and referral business is the highest in the industry. They currently operate at over 150 client sites nationwide and were recently named to the 2012 Top 100 Workplaces by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Much like SYF Academy students, Chip had a dream and he seized the opportunity to make it come true. His gift fuels more success stories to be written and SYF is truly thankful for AmeriPark’s support.
